Legal Disclaimer

Please read these terms and disclaimers carefully before using the AssemblyCheck verification engine or estimators.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Sourced information, calculations, and eligibility estimations provided on this website are based on current proposed IRS regulations under Code Section 163 and public vehicle datasets. Tax laws are subject to amendment, interpretation, and retroactive changes.

1. Not Professional Tax or Legal Advice

The content on AssemblyCheck (including guides, calculators, and API verdicts) is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended to be, and must not be taken as, professional tax planning, certified public accounting, legal representation, or investment advice.

Every taxpayer's financial situation is unique. We strongly recommend that you consult with a certified public accountant (CPA), licensed tax attorney, or qualified financial planner to verify how the American-Made auto interest deduction applies to your specific income, filing status, and tax liability before submitting any claims on your tax return.

2. Accuracy of Vehicle Database

AssemblyCheck queries the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) vPIC API for VIN decoding. While the vPIC database is the official U.S. government vehicle registry, manufacturer listings can sometimes contain typographical errors, delays in reporting new-model manufacturing runs, or incorrect assembly plant codes.

Furthermore, some vehicle models are manufactured in multiple assembly plants globally. While we strive to show the plant country of your specific unit, the owner is solely responsible for confirming the assembly plant of their vehicle by checking the physical manufacture label (safety certification label) located on the driver's side door pillar or consulting with their auto dealership.

3. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall AssemblyCheck, its editorial owners, developers, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages (including, but not limited to, tax penalties, interest charges, IRS audits, or lost financial savings) arising out of or related to your use of this website, calculators, guides, or verification outputs.

4. Third-Party Endorsements

Reference to any specific commercial vehicle, make, model, manufacturer, trademark, or external hyperlinks does not constitute or imply an endorsement, recommendation, or sponsorship by AssemblyCheck, nor does it imply that the auto manufacturer or government agency endorses AssemblyCheck.
